Committee meeting - Thursday 30th Jul 2004

1 - Squad Report A number of key Jossy’s players are likely to leave during the close-season, including some of the foundation members of the team. Possible signings for next season to include: Dan Platt (goalkeeper), Gary Castle (forward), Gareth Brown (defender), and Alex Brown (midfield) 2 - Committee roles A re-shuffle of roles is required as Nick will not be with us next season... Jez and Ant will share the Manager and Team Captain roles respectively Will to remain in charge of team communication Al will continue as vice-captain and kit monitor. He will take on the additional duty of collecting match/training fees. Sean will continue as Club Secretary, and will take on the additional duty of Treasurer Rich Simmons’ offer to join the committee was accepted Ant will speak to John Hyde regarding joining the committee 3 - Annual Presentation Gala Evening This event held at the King Alfred pub on May 29th was judged to be a huge success. Thanks especially to Ant’s mother-in-law who designed the invitation cards, Will for organising the voting slips for awards, and Al who directed the décor arrangements. 4 - Pre-season friendlies Sean will try to organise pre-season matches against Saxon Rovers, South Chester, and Micheldever Station on the following dates: 25th August, 1st September and 8th September. 5 - Training Training sessions will continue on Wednesday evenings, on the grass at River Park from 6:30pm to 8pm Dicko to be asked to organise the warm-up session (with support from committee members) Training sessions will be more focused, and any 'messing around’ will be clamped down upon by the committee members Team members to be told that attendance at training will effect team selection for the following Sunday Drill-tops and bibs to be purchased by Ant 6 - Fees for the 2004/05 season Membership subs for the season will be £30 per player Training £3 per session Match fees £3 per game (£1.50 for substitutes) 7 - Website Will to update information on the site for the new season, and publish a selection of photos from the Awards Night 8 - Sponsorship Jeremy will look into the possibility of further sponsorship for the club. back
