1 - Team and players There was some concern over communication and commitment from some members of the team. As a result, Sean is to send a letter to all team members with our concerns and the level of commitment/communication that is expected. The following people are to be contacted by committee members to see if they would like to join Jossys on a more permanent basis:- Mark Scott and Nick Houghton (Ant), Olly Osborne (Jez), Chris Horton and Andy Furness (Al), Simon Howes (Will). 2 - Home pitch Henry Beaufort is to be re-seeded and will be unavailable for a few months. Sean is to phone Angela at Twyford to see if we can book their pitch. Sean will also contact the fixtures secretary to enquire about available pitches. 3 - Committee roles The roles as set out at the start of the season will continue, although it was widely recognised and agreed that the committee members will have to be more verbal in their duties on the pitch for this to work. 4 - Finances The bank balance is currently £525 (£580 with outstanding cheques to be paid in). It was agreed that we would purchase two match balls and a set of blue bibs. Will to look after match balls and bibs. 5 - Communication As part of gaining better commitment from the team, we will be reverting to the e-mails that we used last season to ascertain availability from the team earlier in the week. To this end, Sean will e-mail Will with the details of the game on a Monday. Will will then e-mail the team with the following information:- Meeting time, kick-off time, location, opposition, who to reply to. 6 - Training The Committee agreed that training should be half an hour of improving our skills and half an hour of a six-a-side game. Jeremy will talk to John Hyde about this ASAP. 7 - Social events Ant to arrange a social for the first week of February, for 20 people. Ant will also look into the possibility of any other social events for the team. 8 - Minutes To improve clarity and transparency, Committee Meeting Minutes are to be published on the website (Will to arrange this). |
