1 - Jamie Nesbit's refereeing fee Jamie will donate his fee for refereeing our match on Sunday to a fresh pair of shorts and socks for club. The committee decided that three extra pairs of shorts and socks should be bought in total. Nick will contact the kit suppliers and arrange this. Sean will organise a special something for Jamie. 2 - Team communication Jeremy is having difficulty recruiting a team each week with no centralised communication method. A letter will be to sent out all squad members re-iterating the process of stating availability for selection on Sunday. Will and Rob to find out adresses for Simon Bishop and Fran Williams respectively. Jeremy to relay in two weeks whether the communication has improved. 3 - Bobby Hoey The Committee agrees that Bobby will be a useful addition to the squad and want to sign him up! Rob will meet Bobby and sign him up this week. 4 - Mid-season social @ the Ghurkha Chef, 23rd Feb The Committee will all put £5 in for the first round of drinks for everyone. Rob and Will to get a list together within the next two weeks of exactly who will be coming. 5 - Tracksuit bottoms Jeremy again raised the fact that tracksuit bottoms for substitutes are a necessity, and we should look into buying them. Nick will find out costs of tracksuits from our kit suppliers. 6 - Finances Jossys are still in the black, which is good news. Some players still need to pay their subscriptions however. Nick and Will to chase outstanding subscriptions - £15 for the full season and £7.50 for half the season. Nick to produce an up-to-date financial report. 7 - First Aid courses We still require three people to go on a first aid course. Sean and Rob have volunteered so far. Courses are on 1st March (New Forest), 18th March (Basingstoke), 6th April (Andover), and 20th May (Eastleigh). Dates will be posted on the website with a request for an additional first-aider. 8 - Entering the Winchester League next season Details are required of contacts, costs, etc to put forward a motion to switch to the Winchester League next season. Will and Rob to find out information from sources they have uncovered. 9 - Presentation evening Rob strongly advises that presentation evenings take a lot of organising and thinks that now is the time to act to avoid disappointment. Rob will look into costs, venue and details, and will delegate responsibilities for the evening accordingly amongst the Committee and team. 10 - Jossys on the big screen! Pete (a work colleague of Al and Jeremy at MVC) is keen to do a documentary on Jossy’s Giants, with the possibility of being aired on Southampton TV. Alex and Jeremy will liase with Pete to make all necessary arrangements if this is to go ahead. 11 - Team photos We require an up-to-date team photo for the squad. Alex will contact his Dad to see if it is viable for him to arrange for a photo before one of our games. 12 - Publicity The Newcastle United FC unofficial website has a section titled "they also play in black & white". The Echo are looking to have news reports about new teams. Will and Nick to investigate these avenues of publicity for the team. |
